Dance

When I dance with the devil, I risk a life of sin.
I’m told dancing with the white angels in the only way my soul can win.
The white angels with halos, look for souls needing redemption.

The angels in the darkness open their world for those without salvation.
A soul full of darkness has no hope for the light.
No angels in white can penetrate those souls, no matter the fight.

When I dance with the devil, I risk a life of sin.

Home

My home stays in the darkness, the black hole where the light used to shine.
There the silence grows louder.
Sending shivers of loneliness up through my spine.
The voices of those who care, erased by the darkness.
Searching for ways to save me.
Not knowing that black void, is becoming my soul.
My home stays in the darkness, the black hole where the light used to shine.

This Place

What scares me the most is being back in this place, the place that’s all darkness, the place I can’t erase.

I watch the sun as the rays try to shine through, but not in this darkness, there’s nothing here those rays can do.

As the darkness surrounds me, the demons become louder, their voices so loud, darkness is all I can see.

They crawl on my skin, make my body feel foreign, causing me to be vulnerable to let the dark in.

The demons continue to dance, the voices proving your lack of worth, making sure your soul stands no chance.

What scares me the most is being back in this place, the place that’s all darkness, the place I can’t erase.
